£10,000 is up for grabs for not-for-profits across Stockport....
The annual Vernon Building Society Community Awards is open for applications to local Stockport not-for-profit groups!
Over 8 years the Awards has donated over £80,000 to worthy causes throughout the local community. Previous winners include Mentell, Smart Works and Stockport LGBT+ Youth.
This year the Vernon are again offering £10,000 to local not-for-profit organisations who dedicate themselves to supporting the local Stockport community. Applications opened on the 1st July and will run until 14th August.
Once applications have been received, 14 organisations will be shortlisted as finalists in the Community awards. Finalists will be awarded a minimum of £200 to a maximum of £1500!
Previous finalist’s Stockport Sharks Swimming Club said
“The Vernon really put themselves at the heart of the community. The financial assistance and wider publicity that Stockport Sharks have received has made a real difference to the service we can provide.”
Organisations can apply online via the Vernon Building Society website at www.thevernon.co.uk/apply.
Organisations must be based in, or benefit, the postcode areas SK1, SK2, SK3, SK4, SK5, SK6, SK7, SK8 or SK12. Applications supporting individuals or individual sponsorships, political activities, promotion of religious causes, activities that benefit animals or commercial enterprises won’t be considered.
