Poynton Brass Band
Our longest standing sponsorship, reaching back over 25 years now, is with Poynton Brass Band. ‘Poynton Brass Band’ was founded in the early 19th century when the band first started within the Poynton coal mining community supported by mine owners, the Vernon family. The band’s association with the Vernon name and our own strong presence in Poynton provided a natural bond and since 1988 the Vernon has helped safeguard the continued existence of the band by providing sponsorship and uniforms.
The Band’s busy schedule for the year includes Charity Concerts, March & Hymn Contests, Vice Presidents Concert plus many other throughout the North West of England. Vernon Bear
The embodiment of our sponsorships is our mascot, Vernon Bear. A massive part of our history, he attends many of our sponsors’ events and makes sure we are always well represented.

Mayor's Charity Ball
We were very proud to be sponsoring The Mayor of Stockport's Charity Ball, which was raising funds for Stockport Sea Cadets. There were some amazing guests, food, and music, alongside great prizes auctioned off to support the local charity.
It was a pleasure to be able to sponsor the event and we had a great night raising funds for a brilliant local cause.

We're also super excited to have been the main sponsor of Together Festival 2024 on Saturday 6th July 2024, 10am - 4pm.
There was lots of family-friendly fun for everyone! Get ready for food and drink stalls, therapy animals, glitter, sensory experiences, fairground rides, story reading, games, live music and lots more.
Marple Carnival
We were also at 2024 Marple Carnival, which is celebrating the Parisian Olympic year with its theme 'Marple Goes for Gold'.
This was also a fun-filled day that we loved being apart of!
Stockport Pride
We're always super excited to celebrate Stockport's LGBTQ+ community at Stockport Pride, with drag acts, musicians, crafts, food and drink, and a family space. It's always a great day of celebrating and we loved sponsoring the event!
Stockport Grammar School Bursary Golf Day
We were super excited to be the headline sponsor of Stockport Grammar School's Bursary Golf Day 2024 for its 21st year.
The Bursary Golf Day is always used as an excellent way to informally network with friends and contacts, and for other companies to raise their profile with the school community. The profit they raise on the day goes directly to the Stockport Grammar School Bursary Fund.
