Financial Education

Teaching the next generation vital money skills.

We believe that financial education is an important life skill, and studies show it can support young people’s wellbeing while helping them feel more confident and prepared to manage their finances as they grow into adulthood. That’s why, alongside our ongoing partnership with WizeUp, we also welcome young people into our branches for friendly, practical sessions on savings, interest rates, mortgages, and how a building society works.

Sharing our Knowledge

So far in the 2025/26 academic year, we’ve supported 755 students and delivered 3,237.5 hours of financial education across primary and secondary schools through our partnership with WizeUp. These sessions are helping young people build practical money skills, grow their confidence, and make informed decisions about their future.

Financial Education in Our Branches

We’re passionate about giving young people the space to learn, ask questions, and build real confidence with money. That’s why our teams regularly welcome students and youth groups into our branches for friendly, practical sessions on savings, interest rates, mortgages, and how building societies work. We tailor each session to the age group, making sure young people leave feeling informed, empowered, and more prepared for the future.
