Partnering with Stockport County Community Trust

At the Vernon, we're always looking for ways to support the people and places that matter to our members. That's why we're proud to be partnering with Stockport County Community Trust as their Official Savings Partner for the 2026/27 season.

The Trust does incredible work across Stockport, using sport, education, health and inclusion programmes to support people of all ages. Through this new partnership, we'll be helping them reach even more local people, while also sharing financial education resources and creating opportunities for our colleagues to get involved in community projects.

Supporting the work of Stockport County Community Trust

As Greater Manchester & Cheshire's local building society, we believe strong communities make a real difference to people's lives.

That's why we're delighted to be supporting Stockport County Community Trust and the wide range of programmes they deliver across the borough. Our partnership will help fund branded Trust vehicles, enabling the team to travel to schools, community venues and events throughout the year.

These vehicles will support the Trust's work across sport, education, health and inclusion, as well as helping the popular Kits by County programme reach local schools.

Helping people build confidence for the future

Alongside supporting the Trust's community work, we'll also be providing financial education resources and workbooks that can be used as part of relevant programmes.

We know that understanding money and developing good financial habits can make a lasting difference. By working with Stockport County Community Trust, we're able to share practical knowledge with young people in a way that's accessible, engaging and relevant to everyday life.

The partnership also creates opportunities for Vernon colleagues to get involved through volunteering activities, helping us play an active role in supporting the communities we serve.
